Summary
This paper examines the specifics of teaching legal linguistics within the training of legal interpreters. Given its interdisciplinary nature at the intersection of law and language, students often face challenges such as differences in legal systems, lack of equivalence in terminology, language interference, and challenges in translating culture-bound legal concepts. I argue that integrating linguistic, professional, and conceptual knowledge in teaching can enhance the preparation of legal interpreters and equip them with the skills necessary for precise and contextually appropriate legal translation.
